The following provisions shall survive termination of these Terms: Intellectual Property Rights, Content Licenses, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive.
Platform booking fees, ticket commission fees, and subscription rates are set out on our Pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
1. COVERAGE: Patron Premium subscribers receive automatic purchase protection on tickets purchased while their subscription is active. Protection status is determined at the time of purchase and travels with the ticket — it is not affected by subsequent changes to your subscription status.
2. AUTOMATIC REFUND — NO DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED: You are entitled to a full refund with no additional documentation if: (a) The event is cancelled by the host before the scheduled start time; or (b) The event is cancelled by HOTSPOT JA for fraud or policy violations. Refunds under this section are processed automatically. We will first attempt to return funds to your original payment method. If that is not possible, we will process a manual transfer within 3–5 business days.
3. REFUNDS REQUIRING EVIDENCE — MANUAL REVIEW: You may file a claim subject to review if: (a) You were denied entry to the event despite holding a valid, unscanned ticket; or (b) The host disputes your claim. Evidence requirements: You must provide a minimum of TWO items from at least TWO different categories: A photograph taken at the event venue on the event date, A screenshot of written communication with the host regarding the issue, or A corroborating claim from another verified ticket purchaser at the same event. Claims are reviewed within 72 hours of submission. HOTSPOT JA's decision is final and binding.
4. EXCLUSIONS — NO REFUND: Purchase protection does not cover: Change of mind or personal inability to attend, Arrival after the event has ended, Subjective dissatisfaction with the event quality, Claims filed more than 14 days before the scheduled event date, Claims filed more than 7 days after the event end time, Tickets where the QR code has already been successfully scanned at entry, or Duplicate claims on the same ticket.
5. CLAIM LIMITS AND ABUSE POLICY: (a) A maximum of 2 automatically approved claims per subscriber per 12-month rolling period. Third and subsequent claims within the period are subject to mandatory manual review regardless of reason. (b) Claims may only be filed by the current ticket holder. (c) Accounts less than 90 days old are not eligible to file claims. (d) Subscribers with 3 or more denied claims within a 12-month rolling period will have their claim privilege suspended for 180 days.
6. PAYOUT & COVERAGE PORTABILITY: Protection status is fixed at the time of ticket purchase. Coverage is not removed if your Patron Premium subscription lapses after the ticket is purchased.
1. OVERVIEW: HOTSPOT JA offers an optional verification program for event hosts. Verified status is a platform designation — it is not an endorsement of event quality, a guarantee of performance, or an insurance product. Only events hosted by verified hosts are eligible for Patron Premium purchase protection.
2. VERIFICATION TIERS: (a) Tier 1 (Basic Verified): Requires valid government-issued ID and TRN or business registration document. Valid for 90 days from date of approval. (b) Tier 2 (Trusted Verified): Requires Tier 1 credentials plus a minimum of 5 successfully completed events on the platform with no unresolved disputes, and a refundable escrow bond.
3. CONSEQUENCES FOR APPROVED CLAIMS: Approved purchase protection claims against a host's events are tracked on a rolling 90-day basis: 1 approved claim = Warning logged; 2 approved claims = Next submission requires admin review; 3 approved claims = Verification badge suspended & bond held; 4+ approved claims = Account suspended & active events removed.
